If you were a real estate time traveler, what year would you travel to for the best real estate opportunities? And where?

My answer? I would travel back and make the Louisiana purchase myself!

Manhattan was purchased in 1626 for about $1K. That would have been a nice deal to be a part of.

I would go back to California in the 80s, Los Angeles and Orange County specifically, and buy houses and apartment buildings by the dozens. This is assuming we have unlimited finds right? :o)
