To LLC or Not to LLC, That is the Question...

Hey Guys, I've had a few people tell me I should put my properties in an LLC, can I do this altho some are not yet paid off? What are some of the drawbacks from creating an LLC or is it a good idea. Any info is greatly appreciated. Hope everyone is having a great week!
