Staging a home for rent or for sale in Chicago

What are your thoughts on staging a home in the Chicago area is it worth it? This would apply for rental units along with fix and flip homes

    It's a big city, be specific. 

     A+, A,B flip areas, sure. It's done all the time for high end. 

    Rentals, why bother? Can you recover the $2,000 staging cost in a one year rent agreement?
