First Call from a direct mail campaign!
Just wanted to post a quick (minor)win. After a long time of reading forum posts and blogs, listening to podcasts, and doing just about anything other than taking action, I finally sent out my first postcard mailing.
It was a very small mailing, just as a test at 46 pieces...but I already got one call! I know that response rates are usually in the low single digits, and wasn't expecting much...but to get 1 out of 46...I was pretty stoked!
Doesn't seem like it is going to be a deal as the seller seems firm on their retail price, but I can't tell you the confidence it brings to have my first conversation with a seller.
I want to encourage anyone sitting on the fence to go out there and take action. I feel much more confident for a real mailing, and the phone calls that come from it...and hopefully my first deal!
