Murder Suicide disclose or not......

On July 21, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court unanimously decided that a murder-suicide in a property is not a material defect that a seller has to disclose to a buyer.

In the case of Milliken v. Jacono, the PA Supreme court said that murder suicide or other tragic events do not need to be disclosed in a Seller's Disclosure.

Caveat Emptor still survives.

@Anne A.

And in some places that want disclosure of all deaths, back to the beginning of time on the property.  Here there are houses that were built in the 1800s, I've owned a few myself and still have one from 1840.  In one town that I'm familiar with there is a standing house from 1684.  I'm sure somebody died there maybe more than one.  In old housing stock, most houses probably had a death particularly in the times when people died at home rather than in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
