Resources to develop a list for marketing efforts
All,
Totally new to REI, haven't closed any deals, and just starting to think about marketing and doing some yellow letter campaigns.
I'm curious to hear from others regarding where you go to develop a list to send to potential sellers.
Ideally, what I'm looking to do is be able to do a search within a given set of zip codes for properties with the following characteristics:
- Vacant land or have houses on them that are old (30+ years)
- 8000+ sq/ft lot
- No permits for major renovations in the last 15 years
I'd like to get the list of addresses, the owners name and the owners address to mail to.
I called the county deed office and asked if I could get access to an excel file that simply had the info in the database they maintain to populate the data on deed record site, and they kinda laughed in my face, saying I could only access one property at a time by typing in a specific address.
I found a website - http://www.dataquick.com/ - and it seems like it might be able to do what I'm looking to do, but I wanted to to get some great crowd-sourced wisdom from the users here at BP to see how they would tackle the same challenge.
I would greatly appreciate and recommendations you would have for me. Please ask any clarifying questions if you need more information from me.
