What is the average cost to build a new standard quality home in Miami Fl.

Good afternoon, ladies and gents,

Simple question. I am trying to do my due diligence. It's hard to find out a G.C. to give you a price over the phone. Also, in Miami everyone that has a G and C, claims to be able to know how to build a home. Can anyone help me with a list of questions to ask a G.C., in reference to building a new construction home on a vacant lot? Also, can anyone help me with the average cost of building a new home. Let's say a 3,000 sqft. home, and I would want the quality in the mid-range.
