Buying A Portfolio of Assets

Hey All-

Recently closed on my first deal...addicted to say the least. I am a young guy and want to get to building my portfolio as rapidly as possible. I won't bite off more than I can chew, but just want to hop all the way in and not bothering to check and see if the water is cold or not (if you catch my drift).

That being said, how do you experienced folks feel about buying a portfolio of rentals from an investor who is trying to get out, as opposed to SFH's individually? You would think that the Sam's Club "buying in bulk" could result in savings, even in real estate, right?

Anyways, I am looking into it. Roughly $120K for a 7 home portfolio. Not asking for financially sound advice, but instead, if you would entertain the thought of it, and why. Thanks to all!
