How do we get back to the old forums?

The new forum layout is awful.  How do we get back to the old forum layout?

These new forums are absolutely awful.

• Opens new browser window every time you click on a new topic.
• No jump to first unread post.
• Shows when the thread was started, not when last replied to.
• Shows who started thread, not who last replied.
• Why above each subject it lists the forum you are in is beyond me. I know what forum I'm in!
• The annoying blue line above sponsored posts. 
• Posted by Jim Smith 3 hours ago. You open the thread and it was posted 2 months ago.
• ... Quote or report abuse. I'm in compact mode. Why would I quote or report a post when I can't see anything written in it?
• Share button. Get rid of it. 
• Being able to vote on a post without even reading it?
• Looks cluttered.
• When scrolling I'm seeing some threads twice.
• When scrolling, it appears that threads are not sorted in order of new posts.

I will say there is one improvement. It appears that sidebar that ranked the users is gone. Never understood it. Say one person at a 10.0 and the next people were <3.

I started a thread on this subject and then BP contacted me I had a nice 30 minute chat with them yesterday.

I have no where near the computer skills as 95% of the folks using this site.. but the go to last button is critical and not being able to see a good number of posts per page ( speed) would keep me from using the site much it not at all.. All the other little buttons and stuff I dont know what they do or ever use them..  so for forum dummies like me I just need the meat and potato's I dont need all the garnish..

I hate the new forums.  PLEASE PLEASE enable an option to view in legacy mode!

I only view the forums on my desktop, and the format is horrible.  Font is too big and too narrow, so less content on each page, cannot see who last contributed to thread, etc.

C'mon guys.  If it ain't broke...

Was wondering the same thing. I'm on several other forums for various subjects, this is the only one that does not have a "Jump to last unread post" function. Incredibly frustrating to find where you left off. I took the survey a few weeks ago and mentioned it there too.

Not intuitive. How do i jump to the last post instead of clicking the thread, then scrolling all the way down to select the page number i want? (especially in the discussions I've already posted in/been in before) It also doesn't show the next trending posts page, unless you manually modify the link address and add "popular?page=0" to 1,2,3, etc. The whole thing looks like an alpha version release at best.

At least there was a button to switch back to the old view. No mas.

they used to have that before this debacle happened lol i sent them an email and they referred me to the survey as well. hopefully enough people are pissed that they will reverse this monstrosity...

Is there a way to view in legacy mode?  The new format is awful.  I'm a former IT guy and I'm pretty computer savvy.  I can't even find where to sort by most responded posts.  Please allow us to have a legacy mode!

Agreed that I am not a fan of the new format.  It is harder to navigate.  I despise that I end up with countless tabs open.  It takes 3-4 clicks to get to a new forum, where it used to be one or two.

I keep trying to use it but I am now lucky if I read one or two posts and reply more than once.. I am now regulated to the bull pen I only click on votes I got that then take me to the thread I know about and then maybe make a comment.. or mentions.. since I have quite a few posts I get 2 to 10 votes each and every day.. so for now that's how I will use it  but as time goes on without change or the ability to go to last post straight away and see how made the last post.  Its a real bummer.. But then again to be fair there could be thousands of new members who really dig it dont know how it used to be are used to facebook ( which i hardly ever use) and like it better and us old timers maybe its time for a changing of the guard maybe that's the thought process of the new management.

that was my exact same plea to them. look at the bottom of this thread below for a response from BP's IT guy saying it won't be until the end of 2Q for the feedback to be incorporated and rolled out to fix this...
