Events & Happenings - Why can't I find any current events in KC

Question - I am posting my events and people are finding them I think in Kansas City.

 However if you look at the map, at least the map I get there are no events in Kansas City and if I search I only get past events, not upcoming. What am I doing wrong.

How do other people find out about upcoming events as past events are not going to do them any good.
