Does anyone know any decent and reliable contractors in the Great NYC/Northern NJ area? I am looking for a couple of referrals, if anyone could help I would appreciate it. I'm looking for someone who will do small rehab jobs(20k MAX) on single family homes.

Check with the BBB and REIA's like Tri-state Mixer and Metropolitan REIA. Also ask for references and don't pay ANYONE in advance unless it's for materials (which you still shouldn't have to do but I would if the contractor checked out and insisted) and you meet the Contractor at Home Depot/Lowes. The materials would then have to be taken immediately to my property and stored there or used immediately by the contractor's crew.
