I am looking for suggestions for General Contractors for in and around the Durham area ( an hour or so radius). I have moved back to North Carolina and would like help with finding good Contractors that I can get to know. I am living in Chapel Hill. There are several houses in Durham and Burlington/Graham that I will be viewing in the coming days. Any help is truly appreciated. Thank You! Elizabeth Moore

In the Durham area, I have had a hard time getting investor-friendly GCs that don't take away the most of the profit line, but I do have some great contractors that I use for projects that I can trust and do good work for pretty consistent and good prices. I also do all kinds of work and consulting myself when the jobs are too small or too many different smaller things that don't make sense to bring in 10 contractors for what can take me less than a few days work (I am an electrical/mechanical engineer that has been doing construction and mechanical design most of my life)

Are there any projects you are currently looking for contractors for? happy to talk/meet/send some good contractors your way.
