Investing in an established Hard Money Fund?

Bryan Troll
Posted

Does anyone here invest in established hard money funds, and just let them do all the hard work?

I originally started looking into doing hard money lending direct but the honest truth is I don't think I know enough about how to do it in order to reduce my risk and do it properly and safely.

I've only looked into one fund so far but it sounds like they average a ~9% annual return. Minimum investment amount is $50k, and minimum investment term is 2 years. I understand this is a modest proposal in a world of higher risk / higher return ventures here, but I have the funds to do this alongside of some other ventures and I'm wondering if I might as well put some of this money to work and see a bit more passive income generated.

Any suggestions on funds to look into? Or suggestions on other better ideas?
