How do I decide what relationships to form?

When it comes to succeeding in real estate investing, the team of people you surround yourself matters, as I understand. When making the decision on who to choose or settle with, such as agent, or attorney, or bank, for example, what should be the deciding factors on who/which companies to choose from?

I'm primarily interested in how to choose and agent and a bank, but this applies to every team member. Thank you in advance for all the help.
