Where to find Hard Money Lenders who Lend under 40k?

I have used hard money lending in the past to buy and sell deals. In the State of California, it's different. Prices are much high than the rest o the country.

I currently live in the Charlotte NC area. Many of these homes are going for as low as 20k in some areas. Besides calling craigslist ads, where would I find hard money for loans under 40k?

Have you looked at P2P lending? I used that for loans in the $20k - $30k range.
