Guidance for New Real Estate Agent - Seattle Area.

I've been a pro member here for a little bit, still in the learning phase. Have one remodel/flip I am currently in the process of here in the Seattle Area. Has become a longer term project then initially anticipated. Anyways, I recently passed the Washington State Broker's Exam and now am in the process of trying to determine how to best put my license to work, and with which Real Estate Agency to hang it. I am talking with several managing broker's looking to find a good fit for me, my skills, and talents. Additionally Redfin has been sending me email's working to get me on there, which I am not sure is the route I want to go.

Any Agent's in this group have any advice, or guidance for someone just getting started? I am eager to learn, and willing to work hard.

@Jeremiah Neumann welcome and congratulations on earning your license!

As for where to hang - I'd highly recommend my old brokerage, Fathom Realty, if you're going to be a part time agent and want minimal support and minimal overhead. Their commission plans are unmatched.

If you're looking for more support, growth, and development, and are looking to work in Real Estate full time (besides taking time off for your own Flips and BRRRRs, etc) I'd highly recommend my current brokerage, Compass Realty. They were just founded in 2012, and there's a reason that they're already a Top 3 brokerage in the country.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like to grab a coffee and talk more about choosing where to hang in detail. Good luck!
