Texas Realtor’s License

I'm taking my licensing exam in two days. I was wondering how long I can have an inactive license after taking my exam before hanging my license with a broker. Its the end of the year with only two months left and I don't want to rush and hang my license with the wrong broker. Also some brokers charge monthly desk and E&O insurance fees so I would like to wait until January next year to hang my license. To reiterate my original question is: Can I wait two month after passing my exam to hang my license with a broker in Texas?

So I don't think you can join early in Texas without being under a broker. You could call one of the Houston associations and ask (I think that's where you live based on profile). Good luck!

That change a year or so ago. So if your Broker is a Realtor and has a primary MLS?Board, you as an agent can join affiliate with any MLS even if your broker is not a member
