California Real Estate Agents/ REALTORS
Hello California Real Estate Agents and/or REALTORS.
I’ve been thinking about becoming an agent and I have a question.
Here goes:
Do/can agents get a salary when first starting out?
Thanks

It all depends on the agency/agent that is hiring you. I’m with Keller Williams and here you are able to run your business like a real business (you can hire employees if you wish). Usually a principal broker would hire you as a buyer/listing agent, but you would be working under them and doing all the hard work for them. All commission goes to them no matter how many sales you do. They may give you a percentage of every referral you give them or bonuses, but again it depends on the broker.
Short answer yes it is possible to get salary.
