Buying the house from the seller and avoid issue with Agent

Hello,

I saw a house on REDFIN and the REDFIN Agent helped to tour the house. After few days I came to know that the house belongs to a friend's friend.

There is no contract or paper work signed. All he did was showed the property.

Can I work directly the seller? In this case how to make sure there no issues in future with REDFIN agent?

Thanks
