Helping an agent and $$

I am a new active agent for a month and came in working with a Mentor who is a leading agent in the area and also my friend.  My mentor asked me to take her clients out on two occasions showing them about 6 houses each time. I have about 10 hours into this client.  (I believe she had me do it because it was for a house under 200k, it was an hour drive in rush hour each way and frankly she deals with mostly executive homes that are real local.  Each time I took the client out there was an offer made. First time however seller/buyer couldn't agree on price. Second time, agreed on price and it's going to closing. Listing agent did all the paperwork and presented the offer from her computer.  So, here's the question. 1.  Should I expect an hourly rate for my service when I am working as part of a team?  How much do Realtors get for an hour? 2. Part of the commission? Or 3, Is this a goodwill and learning experience since I am happy for the experience and a team member?  I have not brought any clients in so it's not like we're exchanging favors. Thanks in advance for any input.
