Shoot it straight, what's the potential for new agent?
I've been researching the possibility of getting licensed and diving into selling real estate full time. I have no illusions about the difficulty of doing so. I understand that it requires lead generation, consistency, marketing know how, a business plan, and an entrepreneurial mindset. No problems there. Now, what I can't figure out, is what to expect in terms of income in years one, two and three. I've read all the cliches such as "earn as much as you want" and "unlimited potential," and so on. Can anyone set some solid, well founded expectations for earning potential for someone who hits the ground running, has experience finding and developing leads, and isn't afraid of networking and hard work? I live in the Midwest and the median home price on my city is about $200k. I welcome all responses!
