Broker or agent license
Hi all - I am an attorney and would satisfy the broker "2 years experience" just by holding attorney status in my state. So I would not need to take any additional classes or have 2 years of experience. I am looking at becoming an agent from the standpoint of investing - so I have a lot of the benefits that agents have, can look at properties I like quickly, but also use myself as an agent so I can obtain the 3% commission myself when I buy property and saving commission when I sell -- this would not be a full time job, merely part-time. I took the agent practice test and passed by a lot (essentially was questions from my first year property course) so I plan on taking that test next week.
Is there anyone who would recommend getting just real estate license over the broker license when I do not have to meet any additional requirements? Just hoping for a little guidance on this.
