Air BnB with VA Loans

Hey there! I am working on purchasing my first home with my VA Loan. I live near the Blue Ridge Parkway and know I could be successful with Air BnB. However, VA Loans prohibit the use of Air BnB for the first year of the loan. My question is this - would it be shifty or otherwise illegal for me to purchase a camper or build an ADU on the existing parcel after I purchase and Air BnB that? Since it would not be my primary residential "home," but rather sitting/not glued screwed or buried on my "real property?" Thanks so much -- David from North Carolina

@David Caldwell As long as you are living in the home, I doubt you would have any problems with the VA if you were to put up a room or two on airbnb. I don't see any problems with you renting out a camper thats on your property. The VA will not care about that as long as you're paying your mortgage!
