Time to grow up. Never too late!

Hi I'm new here at BP

I know this might sound old to you guys but ever since I listened to rich dad poor dad, which I had put off for a long time, realized that its time to grow up and set a goal for myself to be financially independent ASAP. I'm already 35 y/o and wish I had done this sooner but it is what it is.

Among the many niches, rental properties struck a chord with me because of the potential for passive income and generational wealth.

Then I came across house hacking which I thought was a great way to pay for the mortgage. So I decided on a goal to buy a multi family duplex tri or quad, live in one and rent out the others

Right now I'm trying to save as much money as I can and educating myself about real estate, listening to BP podcasts about multifamily, audiobooks, asking questions etc. etc. anything

I'm looking for more inspiration so I was wondering if you guys can share your experience starting out with rental properties.

  1. What was your job before real estate? What made you decide to do rental properties?
  2. Did you buy a multi when you started?
  3. Did you house hack?
  4. how did you come up with the money for the purchase?
  5. Did you scale up to more units?
  6. where are you located?

Thanks a lot guys! stay safe out there!
