Real Estate Investing without jeopardizing mortgage approval

Hi All -

My husband and I are interested in getting into real estate investment. We’re currently building a new home and want to make sure we stay in good standing with our lender between now and close (Jan 2022). Any tips on how to get access to capital during this time with out rocking the boat with our lender? We both have stable, well paying full time jobs and are paying next to nothing in rent. Thanks!
