Am thinking of purchasing a multifamily duplex or 4plex in Milwaukee, WI to house hack. Per my research I realized that the prices are decent but the population in the city has been declining since the 1990's. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There are some hot pockets in Milwaukee personally I found that a decent duplex would probably be a little over 200 K runs between 900 to 1100 a month in rent per unit but I found after a while investing  on  duplexes is that one usual he pays the mortgage  and the other rent pays the taxes and utilities. So there’s really not a lot of cash flow unless  you have a big chunk down. Personally I’ve moved up to four families they run approximately   100 K more than a duplex but you have four rents coming in and 1 property to maintain vs 2
