Text Messaging Questions

Hi Everyone-

My husband and I are fairly new to all the different marketing tools that investors use. We are very interested in using text messages to market. We have lists that are scrubbed against the DNC, and we use a platform that gives an opt-out to every person we text message; however, we keep hearing that that is still illegal. Many people say that an individual can only receive a text message from a company if they had opted in to receive them. Please let us know your experiences and/or advice.
