LLC and/or DBA Question

I normally don't end up posting on BP because every question I have ends up already having been answered, but I think this is unique enough, and I don't even know how I would phrase it to search for it on google, so:

If I name my LLC "XY & Z Holding Company" but I want to essentially do business as "XY & Z," would it be better to secure a DBA for the latter, obtain a separate LLC for it (and place it under the Holding Company umbrella), or not worry about it and go about my business?
