Hi, my name is Richard and I am a college student in phoenix. I am new into real estate and want to get first hand experience of how real estate investing is with someone who knows what he/she is doing. Where can I find someone who I can shadow/assist?

@Richard Hayes You definitely should go to some local Rei events and groups like that, there are a lot in Arizona. Go on Facebook, You can also find people on here that host those types of events in your area. That is where I first began. Even though I didn’t end up investing myself in California it was a great way to just gather information and immerse myself in the real estate lingo.

If you do find somebody and you want to mentor with them you need to have something to offer them. Why would they give up time to mentor somebody without getting something in return? If you can make yourself valuable to somebody then that is the best way to get in.

ask what can I offer them?

Also continue to drown yourself in Podcasts- They are free and full of info. Go to iTunes under the Podcasts and type in real estate investing and you will get a whole swarm of podcast to immerse yourself into. Best of luck.
