Getting started in Alaska and looking to meet others

First of all, I found this site by looking up whether or not a flipping seminar was legitimate and the blog I read pointed me here. Boy am I glad I stumbled upon this amazing community!

I have read the beginners guide and I am interested in BRRRRs and flipping. I own 2 houses and rent one of them currently with about $150 passive income. I also have 40k in equity in that same house in North Carolina.

My main question(s) is more area specific. I currently live in Eagle River, Alaska about 10 minutes north of Anchorage. I'm looking to get more involved in local real estate investing and after looking up REIAs is seems there is nothing official in my area. I would be interested in meeting BP members in my area as Alaska seems like a much different type of market without as many options to my novice eyes.

I'm active duty army and I'm looking to expand my earnings in real estate as a Hobby/ future financial security. Any and all information is welcomed and appreciated!
