How to find meet ups?

Hello,

We are going to be stateside ( The Four-corners Area) for three weeks the end of March. How do I find REA'S or meet-ups? I must not be searching the correct words...thanks, Julie

@Julie Fullmer, The most notable one is "meetup.com." You can also try to search here on BP, where there are others in/around your potential area doing the same thing. I would highly recommend google as well. If none of these options are available for your austere location, you may want to search just a little further out. Keep in mind that you can also start one. Hi Julie, I'm not sure you'll still be in town around April 11th but I'm putting together another investor meet up on the 11th here in Farmington.

I should have it posted on eventbrite.com as well as biggerpockets.com/events in the next few days. Hope to have 20-30 people and would love to see you there too.

I agree with Matt, meetup.com is a great place. Also, here is the link for the events and meetups page on BP https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521-events-an... Another great resource is the find a REIA group on the National Real Estate Investors Association page https://nationalreia.org/find-a-reia/

Lastly, if you still can't find a group, try putting up a forum post with location details asking if there are any other investors in the area at the time that would like to get together for drinks and discussion. If you were to upgrade to a pro member account, you have the ability to search for members by location.

Thanks! Yes, in Farmington area but could go to Albuquerque or Durango etc.

After talking to the realtor we decided to not persue the Milton-Freewater property.

I am still interested in the Walla Walla area if you hear of anything.

@Julie Fullmer, our colleague, Matt is right, meetup.com is a good way.  It doesn't take much to set up a meetup account (free) unless you want to host an event, then I think it does cost $15 bucks a month. However, another way you can find here on BP is to go to NETWORK (top of the web page), all the way to the right hand side you will see EVENTS, click that, then scroll down and you can input what every city (location) you would like to highlight, then if there is one available there you go.  When you say four-corners area, are you referring to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah?  If so which everyone you are going to be closest to you can type in that state name here on BP and the majority of the time investors in these areas have key word alerts set up and they will typically gladly respond.  Any success on the College Place property?  Hope this helps Have a GR8 day!
