Question about working with agents when buying OOS

Hello,

I live in Vegas and am looking to invest out of state. As of yet, I'm not sure which state I will invest in. My question is, how should I go about finding an agent? Should I work with a Vegas agent (who's somewhat savvy in investments) or find a different agent for each state I'm considering investing in? I'd like to get set up on the MLS so I can start running numbers etc.

Thanks in advance for any helpful info on this.

Most agents are only licensed in their home state, maybe a neighboring state or two if they are based close to the border with another state. So you will most likely need a new agent.

Since you’re already on BP, when you find a target market I would repost this question rephrased as “can anyone out there investing in city X recommend a great agent for an oos investor.”
