REI Group or REIA - What's the difference?

Question

I'm looking to join a (legitimate) REI group for numerous reasons but I'm wondering whether I should pull the trigger on a REI group or REIA group.

Located in Nashville, TN - specifically looking into either http://tnreia.com/ or http://www.reintn.org/

Does anyone know the difference?

I'm a member of the REIN group. It's a good place to network. I don't know anything about the other one

They are are the same. Both are members of the National REIA.

You should attend a meeting and see which one you like.

real estate investor associations are run by local experts. They come in a few different flavors. But, they generally are monthly meeting opportunities from local people.

There are other types that you can find on Meetup.com that might just be a handful of people meeting at a coffee shop to more robust ones with guest speakers.

REIA normally have annual memberships, but you can usually go as a guest. The fees usually cover for meals served and renting the meeting space. My local one is run by an investor/broker and they meet in the back room of a restaurant and they serve dinner at the meeting.
