I have a certain amount of cash,But dont know where to start
I just moved to Houston in October 2017. I have a certain amount of cash, I'm looking to find a investment property to rent out. I don't know much about loans or lenders. What are some steps I should take to find my first property. Lately i've been learning about the wholesaling aspect of real estate. If you have any advice please help me out.

You should be looking for a multi-family property. That way, you can live in one of the units while the tenants pay for your mortgage. Use FHA for your financing. Moderator, this is not a solicitation. We don't do FHA. @Christopher Henry, I can refer you to someone that does FHA if you'd like.
Best of luck
Stephanie
