Updated almost 7 years ago,
To my fellow NEWBIES
I've seen side-bar conversations taking place on posts when a new investor is asking a question about how to get started in something, where more experienced people feel the need to say things like "I love how everyone thinks wholesaling is so easy, it took me years to figure it out" or "Flips are a lot harder than they look, I don't know why people think they can just jump in" and blah blah blah.
Seriously? It's intimidating enough trying to jump into a new business venture without people planting additional seeds of doubt. I know it's going to be hard, thank you for reminding me.
The reason I decided to write this is because reading some of these things actually made me second guess my efforts to get into wholesaling.
Like, for a split second I actually thought "well maybe this is all pointless..."
And that got to me - that I came on BP tonight to catch some new pointers, and saw some discouraging messages.
Well here's what I have to say to everyone who has people telling them "you're wasting your time", "the market is too competitive, you'll never find a deal", "you have to have more experience"
You know what? Other people ARE finding deals, other people ARE doing it. And if that's the case SO CAN WE!!
I live in a very competitive market (north TX) and I've been posting ads on Craigslist EVERY DAY for the past week and other wholesalers are flagging them for removal. Every single one. But guess what, I'm even more motivated to show these suckers what's up, because while they are flagging MY ads for removal, I'm working on other ways to progress my goals. And they will have to continue to remove my ads EVERY DAY.
Because I can guaran-dang-tee you I'm more intelligent, just as hardworking, and better at the people skills than the investors out there who are lacking in ethics or don't know how to build partnerships for the long-game.
All of this to say, don't let trash get into your mind and detract you. Stay consistent. Just keep doing something every day.

(I hate to throw something like this out there and run, but time for other things. I'll be back in the AM!)
