Hello!

I am kind of stuck! I once asked, how can I get people to work with me and to learn from (mentor). Someone suggested that I reach out, and offer to do some work, in exchange for their time. So of course I put this to action and received a response I was not prepared to answer.

Instead of them telling me what they needed an extra hand for, they asked me what do I have in mind, and what do I have that makes me stand out of the pack, since he gets many messages requesting the same thing.

Since I am new to this business, I am not sure what I can do.

When you started out, what are things you did in exchange for their time? Where should someone that is brand new to the business start doing to gain experience and make sure that the other party feels like they are getting their fair share? I by no means just want to take. I want to make sure that I am adding enough value.

Thank you,

Lissette
