Would there be any advantage to obtaining a real estate license if I'm new to investing?

@Calla Gruss - I am a newbie too. I am pursuing my license in Arizona so I can get access to the data in the MLS. You have to be a licensed real estate agent to get access, plus if I team up with a broker, I could make money by being a part-time real estate agent. Also, from what I gathered from this site, if you are wholesaling you could get into some trouble depending on how you go about doing it. A licensed would help avoid those troubles....don't know any details on what trouble you can get into; the posts I have read so far didn't mention specifics. Another comment that I have seen in several points, is people could use an agents help when searching for deals (access to the MLS data) and you can save/make money in a sale/purchase of property since you could represent yourself and not have to cut an agent into the deal.
