Interesting work situation -

Ok so here is the situation.

I am very new to this whole real estate investing thing and I am currently an industrial salesmen. I cover the South East "basically Maryland to Mississippi" with my dad. Recently I have been very excited to start my personal portfolio and have shared that with my dad. We have also been talking about the possibility of taking on a new product in the future to sell. Well it only took 1-2 podcasts for him to shift his thinking about a new product to real estate investing.

He is more focused on getting a good deal and everything else will fall into place. I am more of a planner and that stresses me out.

My personal goal is to go for buy and hold properties. Dad thinks it would be better to flip properties. Either way I'm confused about the whole deal. How would you approach this and what advice would you give me.

This could be epic just jump in and go crazy and make it happen or it could add tons of work for me and be stressful. I'm going to get someone to manage everything because of all the traveling I have to do.

I already ordered all the BP books and they are in the mail haha. My dad also works in Winston Salem, NC and I am planning on moving to Wilmington, NC in 6 months.

Thanks for all the help.

JP
