Atlanta Beltline Investing - First investment property

Hello All,

I am interested in buying my first home as an investment property. I plan to live in the property for atleast a year. I am aware of a very large recontruction project currently underway in Atlanta, GA and would like to take advantage of the opportunity to get into a home somewhere in the inner city. I have been encouraged to view the Fulton County forclosure list to seek out homes I could pay the back taxes on or to purchase a rent to own in the area. Turner field has been sold to Georgia State University and will be remodeled. I see this as my window get into real estate. I don't mind working at this at all but I simply need some guidance. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Look into Invest Atlanta. They offer a lot of incentives to purchase owner occupant homes in certain areas of Atlanta and also provide business incentives for opening companies in these areas as well.
