I am venturing into the world of wholesaling, primarily in the Dallas/Fort worth area. I was wondering if the standard assignment of purchase and sale can be used in this area. I had heard somewhere that it can not. And advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wholesale contracts do not need to be used in wholesale deals. I use a 2 pager for both purchase and assignment. The TREC can be used but needs to have several things added and is a bit overwhelming. I have been doing this a while and the short version is easy for sellers to understand and less intimidating. Let me know if you would like a copy of mine.

If by standard, you mean the TREC 1-4 contract, then yes that would be the best one to use. Especially if you are dealing with REO's or listed properties.

The form 20-13 is the One - Four Family Residential Contract that @Todd Plambeck was referring to. But I gave you the link to the whole page, because there are a lot of addendums on there, too.
