As a new real Estate investor, what should my first investment be? and should I own my own home before investing in my first investment? Thanks,

YES YES YES...Buy a rental property. Then once it's stabilized, use it as leverage to buy another one and then another one...and don't stop. When a property hits it's value ceiling, sell it and buy more property. This is your chance to really invest in your future.
