Getting Started Bird Dogging

I saw an opportunity on Craigslist the other day where this company will pay you $10 per abandoned/vacant property you submit to them via their website w/ digital pictures. The ad also says they'll pay you $1,000 if they close on a deal. I've been looking for a way to get started especially since I'm still in school and don't have a lot of time to commit right now. I was wondering if anybody has heard of this or done it in the dc area or anywhere for that matter?

Chris,

This is bird dogging 101 and risk free for you. I'm in the DC area and have had plenty of bird dogs do this for me.

As soon as you can though, I would move to wholesaling, because there isn't too much difference and that's where you will start making real money.
