Is establishing an LLC a good Option Starting Out

So I'm just starting out in real estate and recently had a lil piece of land given to me that's occupied that I could get rent off and I plan to start buying and holding property. Because I don't want to deal with tenants directly and have my name associate with the properties, is it a smart move to go head and Create a company (LLC). Are there any other benefit or disadvantages to getting started in real estates as a company (LLC).
