I'm BRAND new to the BP community, maybe this topic has been discussed at length, but how does one get started investing in their first property with very little money to invest?

Welcome to BP, a great place to be ;-).
dig around the forums, you will find plenty of literature on this topic. Also you need to define "very little money". RE is one thing you usually leverage your cash, but "very little" will get you no start. Better add to that little to make it a bit meaningful to get started.
