I have been wanting to buy some business cards to pass them out at local REIA's and to family and friends, however, I don't have a business name yet and I don't want to divulge where I live. This makes it extra difficult to find a good template to use on vistaprint. I don't want to reinvent the wheel but I would like something nice. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I just order mine yesterday for @JMartin summit in 2 weeks. I have a friend who is just starting out her graphic design. She did it for really reasonable. She was awesome and quick!

As a starting investor, I don't want to spend too much right now. Once I land a deal I would have a larger marketing budget and that would be ideal.

You know you can edit the templates to remove the address line, or any other information not relevent to what you want.
Vista Print quality is probably fine at this stage, that's my thinking as a newbie. We have something to hand out at meetings and to family and friends, for now. When the business is established and we've worked out some kinks, made changes to our business model, which I expect to happen, we'll re-do our cards.
@Rene Martinez - can you afford $15-20/month? If so I would go to a mailbox store and get a mailbox, not a PO Box. There are stores that will give you an official street address that make you look like you have an official office, just gives off a more professional appearance even if you have never done a deal before. And you can just create an LLC and get it registered. Here it costs $150 to register it, you can then add that as your company name on your business cards.
Definitely not worth listing your home address, I just bought a home from someone who is a drug addict with a criminal history, there is no way I want her to have my home address!
Don't spend too much mental energy thinking about it. Business cards are one of those excuses that a lot of business owners use to hold themselves back. Settle on something that's good enough for what you want to achieve and move on to bigger and better things. Spend that time and energy focused on making deals happen.
I got joint business cards for my husband and I, mostly to hand out to neighbors of our units and at networking events. I used a vistaprint template and modified it to have a small photo of each of us, and:

I think business cards are one of the best investments you can make when you get started because they:
1) Help you communicate to everyone you know that you are now doing this - and your COI is the #1 place to start.
2) Give you an inexpensive way to leave your contact info with all the people you encounter in this business - sellers, agents, title company staff, lenders, buyers, etc.
3) (In general) Help you establish your IDENTITY as a real estate professional.
And let's face it. if you can't afford business cards, you do not have the working capital needed to start and succeed in this business.

I'm Also New To Real Estate Investing in the NY Area and Have Been trying To decide if I should get a Business Card with just basic info or Wait Till I Get my LLC which should be soon. To me it's Just so much Better to have a Business card with an LLC because you Can build Credibility, (Given You have worked out a firm business plan & Budget)
Just saying Your a wholesale investor & this what you do ppl may not take you as serious. Just my Opinion.
Embarrassing moment that happen to me at my local REIA. I went for one of the meetings and did not have a business card when it came time to network, so the Leader made me write my info on a piece of paper lol. At that point I knew I needed to get things in order if I was gonna be taken serious in this business. It was my very first meeting just to get a feel of the industry.
I now do virtual business cards.... Easy to set up, in expensive and I can change my info anytime I need to. Advatages: when someone texts my shortcode, I get their # and they get my info. If I'm speaking to 25 people at once, I can give all 25 my card and get all of their numbers.
@Rene Martinez if you are looking for someone to design your business card or logo check out Fiverr.com I had a logo and business card designed for $30. But, you could actually get it for cheaper probably around $15 but I needed the PSD files.
I would recommend Moo.com. Vistaprint quality and color control are terrible.
For color's I would recommend going to kuler.com It's an adobe service and you can search by location to find color schemes for your area.
For design checkout fiver.com or behance. You can get a graphic designer to do a business card for you really really inexpensively and you can tell the difference.
