Over the past week, or so I've been considering moving more towards a buy and hold investment strategy by looking to purchase a duplex. My initial thoughts were to start out wholesaling since that seems to be the general consensus for beginners. I know many people would say no to this, but I am considering trying to do both in a sense. I would be driving for dollars along with sending out mailers, and looking for a duplex to buy and hold in order to free up money to use for investing.

I think that finding a duplex would solve some of my financial limitations with getting into investing, and doing the driving for dollars in the meantime may produce a deal as well. Thoughts?
