Direct Mail/Exit strategy
Using the wonderful Jerry Puckett a friend and I are getting ready to do our first mail drop this coming Saturday. We will be using a Google voice account and following what we have heard/learned in the podcasts. Let them leave a voice mail, drop on Sat. so it hits on Monday or Tuesday, send a text once you have a few that didn't leave a vm, use a list for several months, etc. I currently do sales in a call center so I have no problem using a script, being polite/professional, asking for information, and directing a conversation where I need it to go. I do have some things I'd like to learn more about before we're fielding calls next week.
I know from speaking with him that Jerry will be walking me through my first couple but I want to learn as much as I can to be as prepared as possible. (Have I mentioned how awesome he is!)
1) I set up a google voice account and linked it to my cell phone however I haven't found a way to set up the voice mail for it. Any help on that front? Is there a way to make it not say the whole "state your name. Please hold while we try to reach the Google voice subscriber"? I think that may sketch some people out especially people who don't know how it works. I'd like it to literally ring and go to vm nothing in between.
2)We are in the middle of a SFR flip so we will be wholesaling/whole tailing for the first few months. If we go to whole tail is it possible to use FHA? I searched on the forums but didn't see an answer for this.
3) Completely unrelated but how do I tag people to thank them?
As you guys answer I'll post other questions. I plan on keeping you guys updated as we work as well as how the deals go.
