Sub - To / Owner Finance ... newcomer

Hello BiggerPockets Community!

I'm excited to join this forum and be part of such an incredible network of real estate enthusiasts and professionals. My name is Roberto Plaza and I'm just starting out in the world of real estate investing. I'm particularly focused and eager to learn as much as I can about the Sub-To (Subject-To) method and Owner Financing.

A little about me: I own a multi-service home improvement company, which has given me a solid foundation in property maintenance and renovation. I believe this background will be beneficial as I delve deeper into real estate investing.

I'm reaching out to see if there's anyone in Connecticut who is actively doing Sub-To deals or utilizing Owner Financing. I'd love to connect, learn from your experiences, and possibly collaborate. I'm willing to exchange my home improvement services for the opportunity to learn the process from someone who's already doing it successfully.

If you're in Connecticut and interested in sharing your knowledge or have advice for a newcomer like me, please reach out. I'm looking forward to building connections and growing in this journey together.

Thank you, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!

Best regards,

Roberto

Hi Roberto, great to meet you! I also have a contracting/remodeling background (mostly custom kitchens & baths) in CT, and am finally delving into the REI space too.

Brandon Rush lists many REI meetup events in CT on Facebook, so I'd recommend joining a couple groups to make local connections. @Jonathan Greene recently posted a fantastic "Do's and Don'ts" guide for newcomers on the Forums.

I, too, am looking to join a motivated local investing group that specializes in buy & hold and multifamily, and I hope to see you at one of the local meetups soon!
