Driving for dollars

After finding properties that look distressed does people write offers before seeing the inside of the property? And if so how do you calculate the value.

Or do you wait until a postcard/phone call is returned and you set up a time to see the interior of the home? Thanks

Quote from @Jonathan Greene:

How would you write an offer if you just did a drive-by? Who would you be writing the offer to? Do you even know if the people there are tenants or the owners? You are way to green to even be driving for dollars with that question. You are going to get a trespass call because you don't know what you are doing.

How were you planning on doing this if you don't know how to calculate the value of a home? How would you know repairs? Why would you make an offer before seeing the inside? What is your finance position to buy houses right now?

Im clearly asking how the driving for dollars process works. I did not state that I have done it yet but simply asked how it would be conducted when I do start doing it. Hope everything gets better at home. Thanks

Yes, that response is definitely going to help you do well and learn. Nothing in your post was clear at all. If you were asking how the driving for dollars process worked, you wouldn't ask if you just write a contract. That literally makes no sense. Don't be so fragile and take the advice of those of us who have been doing it more than 30 years.
