Rentals or fixers

My wife and I moved to southwest Florida and have 150k to invest. We are trying to deciding between rentals or fix/flip properties. We both enjoyed rehabbing our own homes and can see the upside of fix and flip. One trend we're noticing is banks holding on to foreclosures due the increasing home values here so finding deals is a bit tougher than even a year ago.For that reason we are thinking of buying homes/condos to keep as rental units and use the income that rental properties provide to acquire more properties.

We'd appreciate any relevant input you can provide

Asking people who don't know you whether you should pursue rentals or flips would be likely asking people who don't know you if you should have lasagna or steak for dinner. Or whether you should plan your next vacation to Australia or Disney World.

Without knowing your goals, experience, knowledge, time availability, financial situation, investing time horizon and lots of other things about you, it would be impossible for any of us to have a better idea about how you should be investing your time/money than you do.

That said, if you want to tell us more about your goals, experience, knowledge, time availability, financial situation, investing time horizon, etc, perhaps we can make some suggestions. I'm also happy to make some dinner and travel recommendations... :-)
